Our multilingual team investigates topics that cross national borders — from Brussels boardrooms to the streets of Berlin and Budapest. We share our findings through partnerships with national media and our own publishing platforms.
Whether exposing corporate greed, the crisis in Europe’s care homes, or EU countries selling arms to Russia, we bring to light the systems of power and hold those responsible to account. We've also uncovered the hardships faced by child migrants arriving in Europe, ensuring their stories are heard.
DailyEuroNews began to take shape in 2015, when national media failed to provide a clear picture of the eurozone debt crisis. Limited national viewpoints, coupled with a lack of understanding of EU institutions and economic realities, led to distorted reporting and serious political misjudgments.
We saw the need for cross-border journalism — independent of national biases — to explore Europe’s most pressing challenges. In 2016, we officially launched our investigative team to fill the gap in cohesive, in-depth reporting on European-wide issues. As of September 2024, we are a cooperative of over 20 journalists across 11 European countries.
